SYSA Legends
The SYSA Legend Award recognizes members of the Seattle Youth Soccer Association who have gone above and beyond in their dedication to youth soccer. These individuals have devoted countless years to serving our communities and programs in ways that no one else could. Their volunteer efforts have made a significant impact across many of our clubs and the entire association. Without these legends, the youth soccer scene in our area would not be the same. We express our gratitude by honoring them with a small token of appreciation and the prestigious Legends Award.
Criteria for Selection:
Years of Service: Demonstrated long-term commitment to youth soccer within the SYSA.
Community Impact: Significant contributions to the betterment of multiple clubs and the association as a whole.
Volunteerism: Exceptional volunteer efforts that go above and beyond typical expectations.
Leadership: Display of leadership qualities that inspire and motivate others within the community.
Innovation: Introduction of new ideas or programs that have positively influenced youth soccer.
Nomination Process:
Submission: Nominations can be submitted by any member of the SYSA community, including players, coaches, parents, and volunteers.
Supporting Documents: Attach any supporting documents, such as letters of recommendation, testimonials, or evidence of the nominee's achievements.
Review Committee: A committee of SYSA board members and previous award recipients will review all nominations.
Selection: The committee will select the award recipients based on the criteria for selection.
Announcement: Award recipients will be announced at the annual SYSA AGM and recognized on the SYSA website and social media channels.
