With over 13,000 players in Seattle and Shoreline each fall, SYSA offers the largest and most diverse youth soccer experience in the Northwest. Our twelve neighborhood clubs provide rich player opportunities for players at all levels. SYSA soccer programs are affordable, well-organized, and fun for all kids! Scholarships are available for any families that are in need.

Our youth soccer players begin at age 5, and can continue playing up until age 18. There are opportunities for all players, both experienced and those new to the sport. Other benefits include:

  • Extremely affordable recreational play that serves players from the youngest ages through high school

  • Player-skills training and coach education through the neighborhood clubs.

  • Citywide play providing more diverse and level-appropriate competition for ages 10-18

  • Fall league, season-ending city tournament, and optional spring play program

  • Longstanding relationships for field access through parks and schools in Seattle and Shoreline

  • Expanded Boundaries for U17-U19 teams to play in Inter-tie league with other clubs within the Lake Washington area.

  • Additional training programs, camps and academies for recreational players and coaches furnished by Seattle United, the advanced-development club for SYSA

  • Local play for all! Your neighborhood club will provide “In-House” Neighborhood league play from U5/6 up to U9, from there U10-U16 teams will play in our Association “Citywide” leagues before graduating to the New “League Washington” at U17-U19.

  • 50+ years of knowledge and experience in delivering well-organized soccer programs through a largely volunteer organization and locally focused, neighborhood-based clubs.

To sign up a child to play soccer in Seattle in the fall, contact the neighborhood club that organizes and registers players in your neighborhood. Click on Find Your Club in the top right corner of this page. Then contact that club using the information for that club on their website.

Neighborhood clubs open registration in late April or early May.

Fall soccer typically begins in August, when teams start practicing. Games start the weekend after Labor Day in September and continue into October or November, depending on the age group.
